First Person Terror Condemned Criminal Origins

First Person Terror: Condemned Criminal Origins

Today I am talking about one of the early games on the Xbox 360 that got me excited to own the console shortly after it was first released. Condemned was actually an early game that many sites and publications used to show off the power of the Xbox 360.

You play the role of a detective called Ethan Thomas who has been framed for murder. You need to use your detective skills as you look around these old condemned buildings as you try to find the guy who framed you.

This is a really cool game. While it is a first person game and it has weapons in it, I would not call this a first person shooter. You will want to think about how you take down enemies and be smart about it. So you will sneak around and try and lure enemies into traps to take them down. This is especially true if they have some kind of gun. Ammo in this game is super scarce.

So if you take down an enemy and get their gun, you only get the ammo that is left in it after they have used it. This makes you want to take them down super quick, not just to get as much ammo as possible, but guns are very deadly in this game.

As well as dealing with enemies, you will have crime scenes that you need to investigate to help you track down the real killer. You will need to use tools, gather evidence and use the FBI to analyze it all. It is actually really well done and something the game does not get the credit it deserves for.

This was given a sequel, but I have still not taken the time to play it. Still, you can pick this up dirt cheap and I highly recommend you give it a try and make sure you play it with the lights off and the sound right up.
