No Kill Switch For Battlefield V Cosmetics

One of the thing about tinkering with your character in a team based game is that it can sometimes make it hard for your team to see you, the enemy to know if you are on their team and also it can be hard for opposing players to know what kind of loadout they are coming up against.

In all honesty the load out one is not a big deal at all, but the other two are valid points. So much so that some gamers had wondered if DICE would make it so you could turn off cosmetics in the game so everyone looks the same!

Ryan McArthur who is one of the producers working on Battlefield V addressed this and it was him who used the term “kill switch”. He said that DICE has no plans at all to disable cosmetics in Battlefield V. He says that he understands why some people would want this from a competitive point of view. However, at the same time, he thinks that players who have worked hard to get some cool looking gear should be able to show it off.

I for one have never once even thought about players with different skins, weapons and so on being not allowed to display them. To me, this is part of what a multiplayer first person shooter is all about. Sometimes it can be hard at a quick glance to distinguish friend from foe, but overall I like it when I see someone decked out in cool gear. It makes things more interesting and it also gives me something to aspire to.
