The History Of The Rainbow Six | Raven Shield
Get ready for some more tactical shooting action as we are now on part three of our Rainbow Six retrospective.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield (2003) PCIn 2003, the Rainbow Six series would take a few steps towards falling in line more with what other console shooters were offering at the time. As crazy as it sounds, this is the first game to allow you to actually see your gun like in a regular first person shooter. Rainbow Six 3 would also be released on console, but those versions were vastly different
Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield featured a pretty cool story that started way back in the 1940,s where there was something of an evil Croatian regime that was topped and the men behind it disappeared. The story fast forwards to modern times where Rainbow team is required to stop a range of terrorist attacks which open up a whole can of worms and have a link to events of the past. Like all Tom Clancy games it is a story full of twists and turns and it was generally very well received.
Gameplay wise, Raven Shield offered what Rainbow Six fans had come to love about the series. In depth tactical based combat. But the vastly increased amount of weapons and more action heavy sections showed that the people behind the game knew where the first person shooter genre was heading and this was their attempt to keep their current fan base all the while pulling in that hardcore FPS player.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield sold millions of copies, had many expansion packs and was critically acclaimed by nearly all who reviewed it. It still stands as one of the most popular games in the series.
ModsRus Mod Controllers Xbox One & Playstation 4
Our Master Mod Controllers have the highest number of features and mods available anywhere. When we redesigned our Xbox One Mod Controllers & Ps4 Mod Controllers We decided to include Everything!
ABOUT OUR CONTROLLERS
This controller offers features that a standard controller does not offer however, these features can be turned off at any time and the controller will function as a standard controller with any game.
FEATURE ACCESS
The Mod controllers uses the “LEFT” and “UP” directions on the D-pad for accessing all of the controllers features. We also offer the option of “MOD”buttons on the back of the controller. The mod buttons can be used instead of “LEFT” and “UP”on the D-pad to allow faster access to features since you would not need to remove your thumbs from the thumbsticks. When enabling/disabling a feature, unless otherwise noted, you will see the White Guide Button LED flash 1 time for enabled and 2 times for disabled.
RAPID FIRE
Rapid Fire To activate/deactivate rapid fire you can either TAP “LEFT” two times very quickly or HOLD the “RIGHT TRIGGER” and TAP “LEFT”. The WHITE LED will start flashing indicating Rapid Fire is now activated. Repeat either of these to turn off Rapid fire. With the Optional “MOD” follow the same procedure using that button. You can also control how the LED flashes using the Advanced Feature Management (page 9).
BURST FIRE
Burst Fire To activate/deactivate burst fire HOLD the “X” button and then TAP “LEFT”.The WHITE LED will turn on solid to indicate that burst fire is activated. The burst fire will fire at the current speed/burst settings which can be adjusted within programming mode. Once activated burst fire can be turned on/off using the same process as rapid fire. To deactivate again hold “X “and tap “LEFT”.
AKIMBO
Akimbo (Dual Trigger Rapid Fire) To activate/deactivate akimbo HOLD the “LEFT TRIGGER” and TAP “LEFT. With akimbo activated you will have rapid fire on both the left and right triggers (independently), this is great for akimbo or dual weapons in Call of Duty and other FPS games.
SUB MODES
Sub/Edit Modes Several of the following controller features have sub modes. Sub modes are modifications to the main feature. These will be explained in the description of each feature. To change a features sub mode HOLD “UP” + “LEFT” on the D-pad, while holding both, tap the corresponding features button to change the Sub-Mode. Rapid Fire Setting Shots Per Second Rapid Fire Setting Shots Per Second Important Rapid Fire Speed Information! The rapid fire mod allows you to set rapid fire speeds up to 40 shots per second, but you must be aware that setting the rapid fire to the maximum will NOT work for most games. All games have limitations on the rates at which weapons can fire. Our default mode settings are already optimized to the fastest possible speeds for the games/weapons listed on page 3. The possibility to change these settings are available for you to experiment with and find settings that best compliment your playing style and to be able to create modes for current and future games which are not part of the default setup.
There have been some pretty big hitters when it comes to first person shooters released in the last 24 months. Games like Overwatch, Doom, Battlefront 2, COD WW II and even Titanfall 2 are making sure the FPS genre is front and center. With all the big games being released in such a short time, some will always get lost in the shuffle, one of these we feel is Quake Champions!
How is a new Quake game not a bigger deal? It is being made by Bethesda and ID so it is sure to be a lot of fun and while we have not been part of the beta or the early access. From what we have seen and heard, those who have taken part are having an awesome time. Quake Champions is going to offer a “free to play” model which may be what has made some people decide to not bother with the game or have any interest.
But as the first Quake game in over a decade, we are really quite shocked at how little attention the game has gotten. While we are running out of months in 2017. That 2017 release date Bethesda gave us is looking less and less likely. But they are supporting those early access players very well with new updates and characters (Doom Guy!) to mess around with.
As of right now, Quake Champions is only due out for PC, but Bethesda has not completely ruled out making a Xbox One or PlayStation 4 port of the game.
Getting rid of the create a class system and adding the new Division system in Call Of Duty WWII was a brave step. To be honest with you, while at first glance it may seem like a radical departure, it is very similar to what we have been used to for the last 10 years. Today though, we are taking a closer look at Airborne Division.
We really like the Airborne Division in Call Of Duty WWII. It offers you a kind of run and gun style of gameplay, but it is a little stealthier than what Infinitry Division offers. It is the Division Skill that makes this such a popular “class”. You see you can get a suppressor which hides your fire on the map, but at the result of losing a little accuracy, but if you are playing as Airborne Division to be more stealthy, it does not matter.
If you are the kind of player who likes to get in and out of a situation, Airborne Division is for you. Some of the other perks that are offered are about letting you run faster, longer and also allowing you to climb quicker. It is great for getting in, taking someone down quick and then getting out of there before their buddies realize what went wrong.
The Thompson M1928 is the primary weapon and with the suppressor, as you will be trying to get in and close, we really think this gun is fine for most people. Sure tinker around a little and see if another loadout suits you best. For us, though it is the way you move quickly and quietly more so than the actual loadout that makes Airborne Division one of the best classes in Call Of Duty WWII.
