Star Wars Battlefront 2 Our Thoughts On The Beta

As Mods “R” Us are very excited for the release of Star Wars Battlefront, today we were lucky enough to be part of the beta on PlayStation 4 and we thought we would share our early thoughts.

First thing, this game is pure eye candy. Having a blaster battle on the streets of Naboo is really breathtaking. The folks at Dice have just done an amazing job. The first Battlefront was already a good looking game and this one here takes it to a whole new level.

There is far more going on with this beta than you would think, even though there is only a couple of different levels to play as and characters to be. We spent most of the time in the Galactic Assault mode where you pick from one of the four classes and either make a charge or defend. It is a lot of fun and a more refined gameplay experience than the first Battlefront.

The other mode that we spent a lot of time in was Arcade. Specifically, the mode where it let us play as Darth Maul and just kick ass! This was a ton of fun and it kind of felt like a horde mode. You just mow down wave after wave of enemies trying to get more time as you do so you can keep on playing. There is also a starfighter mode where you control ships, but we have not spent enough time with that mode to comment just yet.

One thing that Battlefront 2 has is loot boxes and when you first fire up the game you get three. Overwatch made a big deal of loot boxes and it looks like Star Wars Battlefront 2 is going to be doing the same thing. In all, we had a lot of fun playing this for a couple of hours and we look forward to spending more time with it in the coming days.

Is It Worth Getting The Call Of Duty WW2 Season Pass?

Is It Worth Getting The Call Of Duty WW2 Season Pass?

Call Of Duty WW2 Xbox One Rapid Fire Controllers Ps4 Mods

With Call Of Duty WW2 being out for over a month now, some of you who purchased just the standard version of the game may be ready for something new. You have probably completed the campaign, played each multiplayer mode to death and fought on each map so many times that you know them like the back of your hand. Season passes are the done thing in games these days and while it may be easy to point at the Call Of Duty WW2 season pass and say it is Activision being greedy, we do not actually think that it is.

The other day we covered how the first DLC for Call Of Duty WWII is called the Resistance Pack and it is offering a whole lot of content including new maps, a new War Mode scenario and much more. It is a great way that you can have some extra fun with this year’s Cal Of Duty game.

We think that before you pass it off as just a cash grab, think about how much you like Call Of Duty WWII and if you do really like the game, what harm is there in paying a little bit more to get content throughout the next year? The season pass actually gets you four new packs (including January’s Resistance Pack) and each one is bound to feature similar content so you are actually getting quite a lot of content for your money.

If you bought Call Of Duty WWII, beat the campaign, dabbled a little bit in the multiplayer and have not really touched it for a couple of weeks, the season pass is not for you. But if you still find yourself firing up the game a few times a week, maybe even daily. You will certainly feel that the Call Of Duty WWII season pass is giving you very good value for money.
