We are glamming things up a bit today as we look at another fantastic entry in the Grand Theft Auto series!

Grand Theft Auto The Ballad Of Gay Tony (2009/10) Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC

The Ballad Of Gay Tony was the final GTA IV expansion pack and the third Grand Theft Auto release in 2009! First released on Xbox 360, The Ballad Of Gay Tony would be released on PC and PlayStation 3 the following year.

This is regarded as one of the best entries in the GTA series. This expansion sees you playing the role of Luis Fernando Lopez who is the personal bodyguard to the flamboyant, Gay Tony who is the owner of the largest nightclubs in Liberty City and also a socialite, overcome the obstacles in his life ranging from drug deals and contracts on his life. The story is just fantastic and has much more glitz and glamour than GTA IV and the Lost And The Damned. Gay Tony was already one of the more memorable characters from GTA IV so seeing him get a more starring role was a lot of fun.

Gameplay was as you would expect, but they added a scoring system for missions as well as lots of new side jobs you could take such as entering a fighting competition, dealing drugs and dealing with club management to name a few. While the game was around the same length as The Lost And The Damned, it felt like there was much more to do here.

The Ballad Of Gay Tony was greeted with worldwide acclaim. Everyone loved the story and it would be the most popular of all the GTA DLC. It is worth noting that this along with The Lost And The Damned would be released together as the “Episodes From Liberty City” bundle that let you play both stories without the need for a Grand Theft Auto IV disc.
