Call of Duty: Black Ops III review
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is one of the best Call of Duty games in recent years. Despite continually bringing in a stellar approach to the futuristic combat, the game does offer some interesting ideas such as wall climbing and similar stuff that just makes the gameplay immersive and more entertaining.
On top of that, the singleplayer experience included here is very good. It shows you how bad the future can be if corporations start battling for power. Despite being a short experience, the singleplayer sticks with you, and it just provides you with a cool set of mechanics that stand out.
The core of the game is obviously its multiplayer. Here you can find some really good, fun and enticing mechanics that add up to a fascinating experience as a whole.
What is there to dislike about the game? There are some issues that are prevalent here, and some of them come from the other titles in the series as well. There are micro-transactions in a $60 game, not a pleasant idea if you enjoy playing shooters and want all visuals for example. Team balancing is also a bit irritating since you can easily find very skilled teams against newcomers.
The map design is recycled, at least it feels like it. The specialists are a nice inclusion in the game, and they do feel very distinct. Some of them like the Purifier and the Ripper do tend to be a bit overpowered, so obviously, this ends up hurting the experience a little bit, to be honest. The hit markers in the game are not the best, and the zombies maps are pretty short, not to mention you have to get the DLC to get more zombie maps which is a bit bad.
But Call of Duty: Black Ops III is an excellent game despite its small issues. The thrusters are limited and there is no exo. Aside from wall running, you will have a good, ground-based gameplay that works very well. The weapons and abilities of all specialists are nicely integrated into the game. Customizing your character is nice, and the hero armor looks very well.
They also did a very good job with offering split-screen gameplay. Not a lot of people use this now, but it’s a good addition for sure. You can add gestures at the winner circles, TDM requires 100 points instead of 75 points, and in the end, you have a superb selection of melee weapons too. Add to that the customization of your characters and you will have a blast.
Controls are slick too, but a customized controller can work very well here. The ModdedController Playstation 4 Red Out or 6000 Mode Master Modded Controller Xbox One are excellent purchases in this regard, since I provide you with a very good gameplay and lots of impressive value for your money. If you ever enjoyed COD games, you are bound to like this one a lot. It’s one of the best releases in recent years for the series and certainly one of the most popular titles as well!
